Genos Firmware Updater V2.13

The Firmware Updater lets you update the OS of the instrument with firmware versions earlier than 2.10.
Please refer to the Firmware Installation Guide.

One USB flash drive of over 500MB capacity formatted on the instrument.


[Notice to users of the firmware V1.41 and earlier versions.]

After you’ve updated the firmware to this version, the System, MIDI, User Effect, and Registration data are initialized the first time you start up again.

  • Save the MIDI Setup File and User Effect Setup file before updating, and load after updating.
  • Save Registrations to the file before updating.
  • Even if you save the System Setup file before updating, it cannot be loaded after updating.
  • If you save the Backup data before updating and restore it after updating, the System, MIDI, User Effect and Registration data will not be restored.

Before executing the update, we recommend that you back up important data to an external drive using the backup function or data copy function, in case some trouble occurs.

Notice: Do not turn off the power of the instrument or remove the USB flash drive during this operation.
 
1) Download the firmware
 a) Download the Zip file to the computer.
 b) Connect the USB flash drive to your computer.
 c) Extract the *.prg file and copy it to the root directory of your USB flash drive.
 
2) Connect the USB flash drive to the instrument
Connect the USB flash drive containing the downloaded files to the USB TO DEVICE terminal of the instrument.
Notice: Make sure that the USB flash drive is properly connected to the terminal. Excessive force or incorrect insertion may damage the terminal.
 
3) Install the firmware
 a) While holding down the STYLE CONTROL [START/STOP] button on the panel, turn the power on.
 b) Follow the message appears on the screen.
 c) When firmware installation is complete, press the power button on the instrument to turn it off.

[V2.12 to V2.13]

  • Fixed a problem in which, with firmware version 2.00 or later, the pitch detection accuracy of Vocal Harmony decreases when the input volume from the MIC INPUT jack is low, and the original harmony sound could not subsequently be obtained.
  • Fixed other problems.

[V2.11 to V2.12]

[V2.10 to V2.11]

  • Fixed a problem in which MIDI template files could not be saved under normal operation, which only occurs with firmware version 2.10.

[V2.02 to V2.10]

  • You can now change the tempo with dial operation directly (without pressing the [TEMPO] button) while the Home display is shown.
  • The maximum value of "Pattern Length" of the Style Creator has been extended from 32 to 128 bars.
  • You can now set whether or not a file is loaded immediately when it is selected with the dial when the File Selection display is active.

[V2.01 to V2.02]

  • Increased the font size of the Score, the Lyrics, and the Text Viewer display.
  • Fixed a problem in which the instrument would become unresponsive to operations when selecting certain Voices on the Drum Setup display of the Style Creator function.
  • Fixed a problem in which, under a certain situation, the indication lamps (MIDI indicator) on the Mixer display would not work.

  • Fixed a problem in which the detail settings of the "Part On/Off" function for each one of the ASSIGNABLE buttons would not be loaded properly from the Registration Memory or System Backup.
  • Fixed a problem in which some assignable Functions on the MIDI External Controller display would not work properly.

[V1.30 to V1.40]

* The previous firmware version cannot be restored after updating the firmware to this version.

  • Some information displays have been added to the Home display.
  • Many additional functions have been included for assignment to individual controllers on the Live Control display and the Assignable display.
  • You can now see the result of operations of the ASSIGNABLE buttons via the pop-up window.
  • It is now possible to output to an external display by connecting a commercially USB-display adapter. For details on the supported device list, download from the "Downloads" tab on the product site.
  • You can now select the content displayed on the external display, from the Utility display.
  • Changes: The maximum capacity per file of MIDI Song has been expanded to about 3 MB.

[V1.10 to V1.20]

  • You can now search through the following contents: Voice, Style, Song, Multi Pad, and Playlist
  • You can now play multiple Audio Link Multi Pads simultaneously. You can also switch to the behavior in which only one Pad can be played back at once, as in version 1.10 or previous. This setting is made from the display called up via MULTI PAD CONTROL [SELECT] -> [Menu].
  • You can now select and play an Audio Style file on the USB flash drive directly.
  • You can now edit Audio Styles with the Style Creator function.
  • You can now select the Drum Kit of the "Expansion" folder on the Drum Setup window of the Style Creator.
  • You can now record the sound of Audio Style and Audio Link Multi Pad playback with the Audio Multi Recording function.
  • You can now select whether playback of a Multi Pad stops in the following cases, on the Style Setting display:
    • When Style playback is stopped.
    • When the Ending section of Style is played back.
  • You can now select whether playback of Style and Multi Pad stops when MIDI Song playback stops, on the Song Setting display.
  • You can now select the displayed font on the Lyrics display, when showing lyrics of Audio Songs.
  • You can now select the Ensemble Voice category, even when you call up the Voice Selection display via the Voice Part Setup display or the Mixer display.
  • You can now switch between "Menu 1" and "Menu 2" by pressing the [MENU] button on the Menu display.
  • You can now switch between the "Dual Player" and "Song List" modes by pressing [SONG] on the Song Playback display.
  • The current playback position (bar/beat) of Style or MIDI Song are now shown on the Home display.
  • The current playback position (bar) of the Style is now shown on the Style Creator display.
  • A new LIVE CONTROL assignable parameter is available: "Keyboard Volume."
  • The default settings of LIVE CONTROL slider assign type 1 are changed: the "Keyboard Volume" is assigned to slider 9.
  • A new "Regist Bank Edit" display has been added.
  • The following four functions are newly assignable to the ASSIGNABLE buttons:
    • Regist Bank Information
    • Regist Bank Edit
    • Style Information
    • Multi Pad Edit
  • Changes: When the following data types which include a file link to an external drive is loaded, this instrument will search related files from all the connected USB flash drives, regardless of which drive path is specified.
    • Registration Memory
    • One Touch Setting
    • Audio Link Multi Pad
  • Changes: When a Music Finder Record file is imported as a Playlist, the Playlist Records will be output, sorted in alphabetical order.
  • Changes: When the Voice of one of the keyboard parts is set, Modulation Hold will be set to off, and then Modulation (+) and Modulation (-) parameters will be reset.
  • Changes: You can call up the Regist Bank Edit display with the DIRECT ACCESS function.
  • Changes: In certain types of the File Selection display, some shortcuts of related functions that can be called up via the "Menu" icon have been added.
  • Changes: When showing the lyrics of an Audio Song, the lyrics of one row before the current playback position will remain.
    • Before update: All lyrics before the playback position would disappear.
    • After update: Lyrics of one row before the playback position will not disappear if they are on the same page.
  • Changes: The behavior of the instrument when the Song Recording display is closed has been changed.
  • Changes: On the Search display, the elapsed time from the last time the search index has been updated is shown.
  • The maximum single file size has been increased to a maximum of 4 GB.
  • The maximum number of "new" Audio Recording files has been extended to 2,500.

  • Fixed a problem in which the Multi Pad information would not be stored to the OTS of a User Style.

  • You can now additionally save the following parameters to a Registration Memory.

    • Arpeggio Gate Time

  • Improved the processing performance in case that load is high when playing.

1) Turn the instrument on and wait until the Home display appears.
2) Press the [MENU] button to call up the Menu display.
3) Touch [Utility] on the Menu display.
4) Touch [System].
5) Check that the version number matches the current upgrade.
1) The power supply was cut off or the USB flash drive was removed during operation.
A complete reinstall is necessary. Perform the operation again from the beginning.
 
2) The installation cannot be executed and an error message appears in the display.
Check the following:
✓ Is the USB flash drive inserted correctly?
✓ Is the USB connector free from dust or dirt?
✓ Is all required data located in the root directory of USB flash drive?
✓ Is the USB flash drive or the upgrade data itself damaged in some way?
✓ Does the data correspond to the instrument?
Try installing it again by using another USB flash drive.

下載的軟體

如果您認為下載流程有問題,可聯絡 Yamaha,Yamaha 可允許您重新下載該軟體,前提是您需先銷毀透過先前下載嘗試取得的軟體的任何副本或部分副本。重新下載的許可不得以任何方式限制以下第 5 節所述保固聲明。

軟體保固聲明
